1. Introduction

SikaSight ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the SikaSight mobile application ("App") and our website at sikasight.com.

Core Privacy Principle: SikaSight is engineered as a local-first, privacy-by-design financial intelligence application. Your Mobile Money transaction records and PDF statement data are parsed and stored directly on your personal device.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Phone Number: When you choose to create a cloud backup account, we collect your Ghanaian phone number solely to send you a one-time verification SMS code (OTP).
• PDF Statements: When you import official MTN or Telecel e-statements, the PDF files are processed entirely on-device by native iOS/Android system components. The raw PDF files are never uploaded to our servers.

B. On-Device SMS Receipt Ingestion

• Android SMS Permission: On Android devices, with your explicit permission (READ_SMS / RECEIVE_SMS), SikaSight filters incoming Mobile Money transaction receipts locally. Personal SMS messages, OTPs from other services, and personal chats are completely ignored.
• iOS Shortcuts Bridge: On iOS, Apple Shortcuts triggers the native bridge silently to pass only MoMo receipt text locally into your secure local vault.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to:

• Categorize your expenses into Food, Transport, Utilities, and Shopping.
• Calculate your Safe-to-Spend velocity pacing and personalized budget limits.
• Generate verifiable, Merkle-hashed Trust Standing reports that only you can export.
• Deliver your optional 8:30 PM local daily spending digest notifications.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or share your financial data with advertisers, third-party data brokers, or credit bureaus.

4. Data Security & Storage

All local data is stored within your device's sandboxed storage and encrypted using AES-256 and platform biometric keys (Face ID / Touch ID / Android BiometricPrompt). If you enable Encrypted Cloud Backup, backups are transmitted over TLS 1.3 and stored in encrypted cloud partitions.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You maintain complete ownership of your data at all times:

• In-App Deletion: Go to Profile & Settings ➔ Clear All Device Data to wipe all local records, or tap Delete SikaSight Account to immediately erase your cloud account and phone registration.
• Web Deletion Request: You can also submit an automated deletion request anytime at sikasight.com/delete-account.
